The program is similar to the operation of Windows Media Center, the default media center system from Microsoft. The application works in full screen mode, allowing you to view movies, listen to music or view pictures. Individual functions can be accessed from a computer using the remote control or the appropriate applications installed on smartphones running iOS or Android.
XBMC offers music and video stored on the disk, as well as photography. We can also view the weather forecast, programs and system settings. With the latter change the appearance of XBMC (set of skins), we can also add extensions to the program. We can choose the Polish version of the XBMC.
Other features available within XBMC is the subtitle, karaoke, create playlists, slide show photos, editing or connections with the network of audio and video output. With Add-ons can be installed selected Internet radio, podcasts, YouTube search, view and manage RSS feeds available materials. In version 10.0 introduces an additional application hardware acceleration and support for VP8 codec. The program is also available for Linux and Mac OS X.
